One of Those Days...

...And it just happens to be one of my Kathleen Hanna/Riot Grrrl days where i can't stop listening to Bikini Kill/Le Tigre/Bratmobile/Sleater-Kinney, etc. It always puts me right back into the "i don't give a fuck/i wish it was still the 90s" mode.

A Simple Request...

I would like to protest against the usage of the word "tribe." Its completely fucking racist and colonial. There's no arguing against me on this one. You'll never win.

I'm sick of reading texts that proclaim to be "groundbreaking," yet, they only fall back into the same racist, classist, hegemonic, colonialist language of boring white historians that leave people of color out of the context of American Civilization in general. We really need to rethink how we "other" people with language. Whether it's consciously done or not, this needs to end.
